#summerofkindness Checklist
Did an intentional act of kindness (or 2) this summer
Memorized Micah 6:8, cause wow, we read that a lot
Wrote a message for the community kindness garland
Shared in kindness devotionals
Brought my kindness jar to worship on Sept. 12th
Considered God’s call for me to do justice, love kindness and walk humbly in my daily life
Well the end has arrived siblings in Christ! Or at least the end of our #summerofkindness. We will officially close out this season on Sunday September 12th which will also serve as our Rally Sunday and God’s Work Our Hands, so be sure to join us for a morning of celebration and service.
I hope this summer’s theme has offered you a bit of respite and inspiration in these months where we often still feel distanced from each other. I know it has offered me a place to rest in the midst of stress, anxiety and uncertainty. When everything seems untenable there is justice, kindness and humility; for me and for me to participate in for the sake of the world.
We have arrived at our fall, at the beginning of another programmatic year and I hope and pray we find ourselves as a portion of the body of Christ, continuing to work for God’s justice in the world, continuing to offer kindness wherever we can and continuing to walk humbly with God and with each other.
With the Love of Christ,
Pr. Hannah
