Holy Week at Minneola
“If we keep the feast, the feast will keep us. Its values will remain in the community, its ideals will inspire us, and its spirit of comfort and hope will help to sustain us.”
--“Keeping the Feast” by Gail Remshaw
As Lent comes to an end in the middle of April, Minneola will once again be experiencing the journey Jesus took from the gates of Jerusalem to the cross, tomb and eventual resurrection.
Holy Week begins on Sunday April 13th with Palm Sunday. Join us for worship at 10:30am as we proclaim once again, “Hosanna!” with all those welcoming Jesus to Jerusalem. Then on Thursday April 17th at 7 pm we will host our Holy Week Service. This evening will consist of traditional moments from Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter Vigil service, including the stripping of the altar and a remembrance of Jesus’ death.
These services and practice ground our community once again into the core tenet of our faith: Jesus died so we may live. So come. Join us and be inspired once again to the values and ideal Jesus embodies and experience the spirit of comfort and hope that will sustain us through this year.
